Micah Dorius 2005 California State Open Champion

San Diego’s Micah Dorius led by one after the first day of competition. Afterwards, he said “De Laveaga is the hardest place to hold on to a lead.” One day later he proved it could be done. Micah Dorius held on for a one stroke victory over current World Champion and hometown hero, Nate Doss. Micah claims the California State Open Champion crown for the southern half of the state for at least a year. Speaking of hometown heros. We have all seen the devastation and suffering caused by the awesome destructive power of hurricane Katrina, and how it has been compounded by the bungling of those in positions of power. Its hard to watch. We feel helpless and angry. We should be angry, but we are not helpless. 2005 NorCal Championships – Valley Springs, CA A NorCal Series | PDGA B-Tier Event Sept. 10th – 11th, 2005 – Results Special Thanks The NorCal Championships were a great success and there were many smiles and happy winners to prove that point.
